STAR SEARCH- Welcome Night at USC

Come hang out on the beautiful campus of University of Southern California (USC) and meet fellow Rotaractors from around the world at welcome night. Enjoy our special slide show presentation featuring all of you Rotaract stars. USC was established in 1880 and is today one of the world's leading private research universities, the oldest private research university in the West. It is located in the heart of Los Angeles. USC has a total enrollment of about 33,389 students, of which 16,729 are at the undergraduate and 16,660 at the postgraduate levels. There are roughly 200,000 living Trojan Alumni. SERVICE PROJECT
Collaborate with the Interactors at “Shane’s Inspiration” at Griffith Park. Spend the morning changing lives, putting smiles on children’s faces, and being in the largest municipal park with urban wilderness area in the United States! You will have the opportunity spending time with children with disabilities: help them with crafts and play with them in the Playground. “Shane’s Inspiration was the first Universally Accessible Playground in the Western United States and the largest in the nation. BE A STAR- Sony Studios
Enjoy the afternoon at the state-of-the-art motion picture Sony Studios, with a behind the scene tour; stay afterwards, for dinner and the after-party. Sony pictures studio was originally the M-G-M studio in Culver City, where the “Wizard of Oz” was filmed. In 1990, this studio was purchased by Sony Entertainment of Japan. SUPER STAR-Hollywood Bowl
Come volunteer at Rotary Night at the Hollywood Bowl and receive free admission. Rotary reserved the whole Hollywood Bowl for a special presentation; don’t miss out on a chance of a life time! The Hollywood Bowl officially opened in 1922 and is known as one of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world. It seats just under 18,000 people. In 1991 it was given the name as the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Legendary artists have appeared at the Bowl throughout the years: Sinatra, Pavarotti, Streisand, Stravinsky, Heifetz., the Beatles, Garth Brooks, Elton John, Judy Garland, and much more. 40 STARS FOR ROTARACT- Convention Center
Come mingle with the Rotarians at the Rotaract’s 40th Anniversary Luncheon at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This event marks the 40th Anniversary of Rotaract, which all started at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. 40 years later, it has now grown to over 8,000 clubs in 155 countries. Don’t miss out on this celebration, and have the opportunity of meeting our special guest, the Rotary International President, Wilf Wilkinson.
